Curried Chick Peas

Why chickpeas?

Ingredients:

2 cups chick peas

1 cinnamon stick

5 cardamom seeds

1 tbsp coriander

1 tbsp turmeric

5 garlic cloves

2-3 chopped onions

2-3 chopped tomatoes

Fresh parsley


Instructions:

  1. Soak chickpeas overnight

  2. Simmer cinnamon and cardamom seeds for one minute

  3. Add garlic and onion, cook

  4. Add powdered spices, cook

  5. Add tomatoes, simmer until tomatoes are well softened

  6. Add chickpeas with some water or stock and allow to simmer until desired consistency.

  7. Top with fresh parsley.
